Second pic! Himeji Castle,to be visited tomorrow, is an "exellent example of the proto typical Japanese castle" (according to wiki).
It's appeared on a lot of films such as The Last Samurai and 007 :P
Fifteen students and two teachers explore Eastern Japan.

First pic is a torii at Itsukushima Jinja (Miyajima), aka The Floating Torii〜 The ground below it is only visible at low tide, so at high tide it looks as though it's floating. coolness :D
