Day 1
I was the first of the students to arrive at the station, having got up at 3 A.M.
We got off to an early start, and just chilled at Shin-Yokohama for nearly an hour before boarding our 7:22 train.
We toured Himeji Castle around lunch time, studying structure, design, and history and photographing it.
We finally arrived at the hotel around 6 P.M. and got organized in our rooms.
I spent the rest of the evening conspiring about how best to sue the cab driver who brought us to the hotel, nearly running over three people as he went and smashing my head in the trunk.
Day 2
My alarm rang at 6:30 A.M. in order to give me time enough to be ready for breakfast at 8:00, which was much more edible than I would have expected it to be...
Matsubara-san shared with us her experience of the nuclear bombing.
For lunch I strolled about the shopping district with Emilia and Max, looking for Subway, and bought a totally awesome hat along the way.
After coming out from the Peace Museum, a bunch of mustard-caps came up to us and attempted to speak english; they failed.
In the evening we went back to the dome, where Emilia and I taught Janet and Eika the Soldier Boy dance.
Day 3
This morning I observed Emilia as she went through the complicated stages of doing her hair: an incredible process which I shall never forget.
The first thing we did after leaving the hotel this morning was go to the Art Museum, something which I found much more interesting than I had anticipated.
For lunch Mrs. De Vries decided we should stop at SOGO, but it turned out there was no food there, so we had to keep moving.
In the afternoon we went hiking up a small hill, which has most of definitely been the highlight of the trip so far.
When we came back to the hotel, I continued to fill in the Hiroshima booklet before falling asleep on the couch in the lobby.
